“ I feel the arts are an expression of the inner self. God has given artists in all areas of creative endeavor, the inner force to create something extraordinary.

Using these creative gifts, I have endeavored to capture my impressions of the beauty of the landscape, flowers, or express my feelings about a particular moment in time.

Painting in a variety of media has been a great challenge to mind and heart.  My style embraces techniques ranging from naturalistic to abstract expressionism.  To create the images, I explore the varied use of color, which is my passion, design, and texture.  Of all the varied media I have tried, painting on porcelain is the most difficult to master.  I am known for my use of color and the illusive quality of lost and found edges.

I paint the valley and mountain landscape and seascape in all it's glory from photographs that I have taken.  The ever-changing light of New Mexico and the coast calls to my soul.  I am always trying to capture the light in my paintings.

Teaching painting for the last 45 years has been one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences.  I am blessed to have been able to share my gift of painting with hundreds of students through those years.  Seeing each student grow in their art form and the knowledge I share with them keeps me striving for more creative ways to teach.  I thank God that I am able to share this talent which He gave to me."
